Does it really well for the one thing it does, photographing still objects at ultra close up. I’m not quite sure how else this lens can be useful. It has a preset/fixed depth of focus, you have to get very close, within half & inch, to the object, otherwise its blurry. So, other than taking pic of surface texture or tiny things, its not very useful. I wanted to take shots of insects, but by the time you get that close, they’d hop off. You literally have to hover over & cover the object with the white bowl.
As with the other moment lenses, this one is very well made, very solid construction. Be mindful that the focus distance requires you to be really really close to your subject. Tested on a ring, with the lens hood on, the ring practically was about an inch from the sensor to get focus. You'll need a lot of light but the results are as advertised.
This lens is great. The build quality is fantastic and the images are sharp. I haven't had the pleasure of taking it outside yet so I attached a few quick indoor macros I took using this lens and my Pixel 3. It may be a highly situational lens, but it is a ton of fun to use. Highly recommend
This was my first moment lens. I originally wanted to buy the wide first, but I am content with having this macro lens for now. The construction of the lens is sturdy and has a good weight to it. I love Moment! A few of my friends were questioning why I would pay so much for an iphone lens, but it is so worth it. I feel much more comfortable spending real money on something I know is going to work and be top notch, than continuing to spend my money trying a lot of products, trying to find the best one.
The photos I've taken so far are clear and sharp, though there is some peripheral blur as the depth of field with macro lenses is short.
I love taking macro photos, but with the improvement in cell phone photo quality, I haven’t been playing with my big digital camera in awhile. The little lens gives me the opportunity to experiment with macro again!
It’s literally the best attachment lens you could ever need for macro on a cellphone ever. It’s a Moment lens, of course it’s the best.
This is a solid little gem of a lens - well constructed, mounts to the Moment case easily and securely, and gives great macro image capability for the iPhone. I'm so glad someone is out there making quality photographic accessories for our mobile devices. This is the wave of the future for casual amateur shutterbugs like me.
Incredible macro lens. Bought this for my new phone. Not cheap, but well machined with excellent glass. Liked it so much I've ordered the telephoto, wide and fish eye lenses. Some photos attached. Dead nandina twig, dogwood leaf, textures of my bracelets, tiny crinoid fossils, texture of a dilapidated vinyl top on a Cadillac. These were all taken my first time to use the lens.
I had ordered this wonderful lens for my phone sometime last year, and since then I have been playing around and experimenting with macro photography. The results are amazing!!!
This is one of the most unique lenses I’ve used before. It makes me even more excited for spring to get here so I can take macro shots of flowers! The in-focus part of the photo is crispy and the bokeh is gorgeous. Another home run from the awesome people at Moment!

I was never really interested in macro photography before but using this lens has really peaked my interest in taking more macro photographs. Very impressed with the build quality and like the other lenses from Moment it comes with a lens cap and drawstring pouch. Highly recommend this lens if you are interested in macro smartphone photography.
I'm very happy with the lens! Keep in mind you will also have to buy the phone case that holds the lens. But it is a nice looking protective case and hold the lenses securely.
This is not a cheap lens but you get every bit of quality that you pay for and it’s worth it! The lenses twist right on. I didn’t have to fumble around with the clips which make me nervous will scratch my lens if I miss.

Are these pro-level lenses, no. But they are very portable and add a lot of capability to normal cell phone pictures. For me these are fun and I have no complaints.
