These take a bit to figure out, but once I did it was all smooth sailing. It helps to spray the windows with water before attempting to wash, and don't do it on a really sunny day. We live near the coast, and often have salt on our second story windows. I can't imagine paying a window washer hundreds of dollars only to have the windows filthy again in a week. I can now have clean windows whenever i want!
I bought one of these to clean 2nd story windows that are actually about 2-1/2 stories off the ground. One of my friends gave me a tip to buy the ones made for the thickest glass, because then you can safety-pin a rag around the cleaning surfaces - to make it easier and less expensive to change out clothes. These magnets are strong and will SNAP HARD together, so be very cautious when getting them to stick together on the window (to avoid breaking the window itself). Very good value for the money, especially since I can use my own rags.

If you have a window that cannot be reached from the outside you are going to need something like this. You can clean the outside of unreachable windows. Strong magnet, cleaning windows easily. Overall, pretty pleased with this.
Wasn't sure how this would go, we have some double glazed and some single, two story house. I didn't want to by 2 so I got this adjustable one. Pads wash out well, took awhile to do as the pads needed to be cleaned often, but it cleaned fantastically. Just DO NOT catch your finger between the plates accidently.
I wanted to buy this glass cleaner for a long time, but I always thought it was too expensive. Suddenly I saw a very cheap price here. It was much cheaper than what I saw in the mall before. I bought it and tried it. It really works and saves time and effort. Good
Window cleaner was excellent because it had five different settings so that my double pane windows could be cleaned quite effectively. A lot of these window cleaners don’t seem to have any adjustability. This one had five different settings and with my 11/16 inch thick Pella windows it worked wonderfully. Sticky enough but if it did not have this kind of adjustment it would not have worked on my double pane windows so well. I am extremely pleased with this product and it did in fact exceed my expectations.
I loove this glass cleaner for my high windows! this is very useful thanks to its very strong magnet so I can clean the windows from inside and outside at the same time! the handle is simple to hold and it comes with a security strin as well! I also love the design and the tan colour! really convenient!
This is perfect! I was looking for a way to wash the opposite side of my upstairs windows and then stumbled upon this handy gadget. It’s pretty sturdy the magnet works pretty decent thru the glass and it’s a time saver especially for my sliding glass doors. It eliminated having to do both sides of one door. I’d be great if it was a bit bigger yet it does the trick for sure
Happy with it’s results, use it in a high rise condominium glass windows. Especially important to have the cord fixed to the free wrist. Once in a while you miss the magnet properties if you are going too fast.

cleaned 25 windows and 3 large glass slide doors, all double glass, never seen them this clear in a minimal time and way less effort. i am totally satisfied with this product.
I live in a high rise building that does not clean windows and I have large, inaccessible, double pane windows. This product is a godsend. It takes practice, but it does a job that was otherwise impossible. The pads are sturdy and washable. The magnetic ratchet system is very clever. Overall build quality is good. I suspect the 1 star reviews couldn't be bothered to figure how it works.
I have windows on the second and third floor where there is an arbor on the ground floor under them.... so I can not reach them buy ladder. Honestly would not climb up to the third story window on a ladder even if I could. Quote for professional window cleaning for house $450.0. But it’s just those four windows I could not reach. Started looking on line. Found this product. Decided to try it. There is a short learning curve for the angels and the tension but it did a great job. Even the corners! My windows are double pane windows and it worked. Leash/ safety string worked great, once I got the tension down it never fell off. I love this! Will use it for many years to come.
We had been looking for a solution to cleaning inaccessible exterior windows on first and second floors. This seemed like a smart idea and it works really well. The magnets are extremely powerful so make sure you order the correct version depending on your window thickness or it might be hard to separate them once attached on either side of the window. The small sponge to hold cleaning fluid/soap, the washable pads, the built in rubber squeegee to wipe the fluid off without streaks - all of it well designed and very easy to use. The build quality seems pretty good - got 16 windows cleaned inside and out in an afternoon and no problems so far. Do be careful though - the magnets are so powerful you could break a finger if not careful.
I live on the 3rd floor and my bedroom windows are under an overhang. Which means no rain or snow to help keep them somewhat clean. It took a little muscle to slide them around but it’s because the magnets are so strong. Otherwise easy and look great! My window looked like fog and now clear.
My wife love the windows now. On the 6th floor exposed to the ocean it was almost impossible to keep the windows clean and very difficult to do so. This is the fix!
The magnets are strong to hold thru thick windows in high-rise building. Allows access to sliding windows where I could not reach with the window partially open.

This is such an awesome product, I've never been able to clean the outside of my upper floor apartment and it always kind of bothered me. So I figured it wouldn't hurt to try this cleaning tool, and my windows look soo much better. It takes a little practice but it definitely works like its supposed to
This product is a genius especially when we can’t get anyone to clean our windows! It’s easy to use but just be very careful to not let each side be close to each other unless you have something non-magnetic in the middle! Otherwise your hand will be trapped in between and these are really powerful magnets... recommend for the value comparing to other similar products!
So happy!! My windows only open up about 4in (& I have short arms) so I wasn’t able to clean the outside prior to this purchase. As long as you buy correct strength you won’t regret it!! Most negative reviews are bc they purchased incorrect strength, thats consumer problem not the product! I myself don’t know the thickness of my windows so the magnetic strength isn’t as strong as it is with the plastic it comes with but its enough to not separate on its own. My only hope is that finding replacement parts won’t be difficult.
Speechless! I was actually in shock at how well this item worked! I live in NYC on the 6th floor so can't clean the outside of my windows. not being able to see through them was driving me crazy. In almost no time at all, i was able to get the hang of using this item. My windows are spotless and I couldn't recommend this enough! The only thing that you have to be careful of is how strong the magnets are, you need to keep them far away from each other or they will slam together and you could hurt yourself. Mine connected without the plastic divider and I need my much stronger boyfriend to pull them apart. Other than that - truly a fantastic life changing product!
Finally used on my 3/4 inch thick double pane windows, fourth floor condo. I just needed something to help me preserve my view in between the professional window washing. Using windex it worked fine. Didn’t do a second pass because of the wind off of Lake Erie. I’m pleased. Just hope I can get the replacement parts when needed.
It is simply AMAZING!!!! It was impossible to clean any window in my house because of their structure and I don’t wanted to spend all say on ladders trying to reach all. After a long search I have decided to try these ones and I just felt in love. All windows gas been cleaned within minutes (inside and outside in the same time). Now happy women drinking her coffe in front of clean windows :D
Once you get use to it, it’s great. Up and down didn’t get a great finish but left to right working down was fab! Got the strongest ones and had read the warnings about getting fingers trapped but while I was changing the cleaning pad the 2nd half jumped into position so will change these on different tables in future! By third window I had it sorted. Pleased with purchase.
My outside windows havent been washed in some years, I have very thick double glazing so went for the strongest option available. It's not easy to get into the window corners with this tool and obviously it doesn't look as polished as when done from the outside by a window cleamer. But if you have inacessible windows this is a pretty quick and easy way of cleaning them, the squegee bit helps stop drips. Overall its not a bad solution for inacessible windows.
I live in a 3 story house with porches on the front and back so some windows are ineccesable even with ladders this is excellent on my upstairs double glazed windows. The secret to the magnets keeping together on windows is to not go too fast when moving them and make sure any stickers or film are removed before using on windows.My windows have never looked so clear .
The magnets are super strong so stick to the windows lovely, I cleaned 6 windows so far and came apart only once, but no problem thats what the safety string is for. Easier than I thought to use - just take your time on first few windows you do to work it out. People leaving one star reviews can't be using it correctly, its common sense these magnets need to be extra strong to work so if your stupid enough to trap your fingers in them or hold them together without the safety spacer in place then don't go leaving a one star review, pay for a window cleaning instead!
We opted for this thing between our visits from our windows cleaners, as good a job they do they are expensive and unfortunately we have a lot of 'fly-by' bird bombs, living close to the coast they are big and messy! a little daunting at first considering you have to put the string side on the outside of a top window, but once you get the hang of it and be alert to keep the 2 pieces well away from each other (The magnet is super strong and can hurt your fingers if they are in the way and your ears). We also got the Unger window cleaning fluid cleaner to use with it and our windows are thoroughly cleaned bird bomb and smear free. Very impressed.
The product amounts to a plastic housing, some magnets and a rubber blade, but it actually works really well. I used it on some pretty grubby double glazed units and I was surprised how clean the window was.
Having read comments about how the magnets are not strong enough and how there were no instructions, this was not the case for me (I bought the strongest ones). The magnets are very strong and more than cope with my conservatory roof and there were instructions in English. You must be able to access the outside of the glass roof from a roof light or window because you need to be able to put one half on the outside of the glass. So if you just have a solid glass roof these will not be useful.
This thing is amazing! My windows have never been cleaner. Be careful though, it's very strong magnet. I caught my finger in it and struggled to get it out, now I know!
