The ease of use, no pump needed!
Price and good Quality
We used these pads for camping this summer. They were great for all of us - from kids to adults. I really like how compact they are for easy transport and simple to inflate. And most importantly they stayed inflated all night. Great product!
Use this recently camping at 9600' by an alpine lake in tent pitched over loose rocky gravel. I mention that the pad is durable, because I had 4 kids in my tent playing for during the day and I was afraid with the rocky base the tent was on that it would cause a puncture in my new sleeping pad. I gave it 2 puffs to fully inflate it before I went to bed after the kids were stepping on it all day. Fortunately the pad held up and was fully inflated when I woke up.
I'm 175 6'1" and was able to sleep on my side comfortably on this pad. I did use a battery powered air pump to quickly inflate the pad. Breakdown was easy and it fit easily back in the pouch provided. I will definitely buy more of these once the other sleeping pads I have breakdown.
I tried 3 different sleeping pads before this one - all in the same price range. This one was by far the most comfortable!
Totally worth the price and slightly extra weight for backpacking. I do not regret this purchase.
This pad is the perfect budget compromise for someone looking for something that is very comfortable and well suited for summer camping either out of a car or for short hikes. The pad is light enough and packs down small enough to be good for short backpacking trips, 1-3 nights, but it is definitely not for ultra-light trips or for nights below 40°. In my opinion, the perfect "starter pad" than can be handed down to the kids as they get their start!
It's a good size inflated and easy to roll up to fit in the bag.
Used this on a 7 day trek. Was very comfortable. The width was perfect. Used with the bag inflator it took only 3 minutes to fill.
I am very happy with this sleeping pad. I used this for a weekend camping trip and it was very comfortable. I am a side sleeper and I did not feel the ground at all. This, combined with my Trekology Inflatable Pillow, made for a very restful night. If you were a back sleeper and a larger person, I imagine this might not be the best option as your arms would hang off the sides and the 4" thickness would work against you. However, I think this is an awesome sleep solution for the adult side sleeper.
I would not recommend getting this for taking for kids less than 8th grade or so (depending on their size) for scouting trips. It would take too many breaths to fill up the pad for their size lungs.
Pack small, big comfort. I own two of these with maybe 30 nights on each, no problems so far. Good width for a big dude and really good thickness when inflated. They hold their pressure through the night no problem (tip: air mattresses should be inflated when you first get to camp, alot of the “went flat” issues people have it from the material stretching, not from leakage).
I was skeptical when I saw pictures of people using bulky pumps to inflate it. However this product really is amazing. You do not feel like you are on the ground at all! It's good insulation, durable (my dogs walked all over it), and compact and light! Literally only complaint is that the bags could be slightly bigger to accommodate easier repackage, but even that said they are "standard" tightness compared to most camping gear.
Like the reviews on YouTube it’s an amazing, affordable, and comfy sleeping pad. Would recommend one of the sacs to inflate it, while you can just blow into it that takes a min
We recently went on a backpacking trip and I purchased this to cushion me while camping. My back isn't as great as it was in my teens and I am also a side sleeper. I had a list of requirements I didn't think could be met at this price tag but based on some reviews in a backpacking group I decided to give it a go.
I am a big guy at 6’, 300lbs. I move around all night from my back to side and this has been the most comfortable pad I own. High recommend. There isn’t that much of a weight hit with it.
I'm 265lbs and I was afraid that I would sink to the floor in this, but to my surprise I did not, even when I would flip to my other side. This thing is a champ. Only gripe I have is it's slippery. If they put like some velvet on it so you didn't slide around as much it would have been perfect. It was easy to inflate for me, but I bought a battery powered air pump so I didn't have to do it manually. It stayed inflated for almost 2 full days without me having to re-inflate it. Solid product.
I'm 5'11", 240 lbs and always hated air mattresses. I'm a side sleeper who hates "bottoming out" everytime I move. After getting back into car camping I started backpacking again. Giant 6" thick mattresses (which always sank over night and would "bottom out") had me doubt I could find a viable lightweight option. I was wrong.
Getting this was a great buy!
This was amazing on a backpacking trip. I would say to definitely get a battery pump. It took me 3 try’s to blow it up the full capacity. I don’t normally sleep in the woods, but I was able to get 6 hours of sleep. Easy to fall back asleep, no matter the temp. I did use a liner underneath to help r rating
Great everything is as in the description. I recommend the store.
I adore this thing. I inflated it two months ago, and left it like that in my living room to test it out. I’ve spent a few nights on it and lay down on it all the time, and it doesn’t deflate at all. What I love most is how comfortable it is. I have arthritis everywhere and can’t sleep on hard surfaces. With a thickness of 4 inches, this pad provides a great amount of cushion for my joints. I’m a side sleeper to boot. Packed down, it’s less than the size of a thick water bottle, and when inflated it’s huge. Honestly, tenting possibly wouldn’t be possible for me without this pad. Sleeping on a regular pad would cause me too much pain. The downside is that it takes quite a bit of huffing and puffing to inflate it. Not surprising considering it’s size and thickness. I also compared this thing to the Sleepingo pad. That one weighs practically nothing and is also very comfortable (the Trekology pad doesn’t weigh a ton either). In the end I kept both. The Sleepingo is a great lightweight option, and I use it for hammock camping. The Trekology pad can’t be beat in comfort, so I’m going to use it for tenting. As a tip, you should not fully inflate it to get the best comfort. Inflate it about halfway and then adjust the air to get the perfect amount of cushion. This is true for pretty much any inflatable pad or pillow. I think the Trekology pad is the most comfortable sleeping pad you can get for the price, and I suspect it is better than many of the super expensive high-end pads.
I'm a side sleeper and was impressed that no pressure points touched the ground. Tough and compact, excellent quality on materials and design. Good brand.
Awesome thing. Without pump and quickly inflates.
I am so surprised and impressed! I inflated it in my living room and it stayed at the same firmness for more than two weeks! Easy to inflate (does take some huffing and puffing) and comfortable. As a side sleeper, I didn't feel the ground. It is a noisy material, but with ear plugs and an eye mask problem solved! Taking it to Alaska this summer, so the lightweight and compact size are a bonus.
I sleep on my sides and am quite overweight (sadface) and also have bad lower back and when I laid down on it my weight was supported quite well, and I had no lower back pain, which I get on mattresses when I lay down.
I did not notice any loss of air over the 2 nights in near freezing temperatures. When it came time to go, I just popped the deflate valve and it was mostly flat in seconds. Leave the valve open when folding/rolling up to release the last little bit of air and it takes no time, and very little effort, to get it back into it's little sack.
Just finished a 4 day backpack hike and I was pleased with how little it can pack up and thought it was big enough for me as a side sleeper to fit on. I’m 6’3 and it was long enough as well
Feels really comfortable, haven't gone camping with it yet but will update when I do. As of now I'm very happy with the purchase.
Liked it enough I bought a 2nd one for my son.
Easily the most comfortable sleep option I've had while backpacking. To me it's worth the little bit extra weight. And you're talking to a guy that has lugged the desert walker lightweight cot onto the trail with him. This is more comfortable. Plenty thick. Isn't really noisy (not sure what all of the other reviews are about with the noise), super comfortable and long. Overall I say go for it if you aren't someone who lifts their nose at what us common folk backpackers use.
This is a great light-weight, reasonably priced sleeping pad!! I needed something to use for tent camping as my hip is bad. This has far exceeded my expectations. The length is more than adequate though the width seems narrow. Given the width, it did not affect my sleep at all. I have a sleep app that monitors my sleep, and my sleep with this pad was actually better than my sleep with my bed mattress. It is sturdy yet light and my only complaint is it takes quite a few breaths to inflate, which to me is not a problem given the comfort it provides. It deflates easily and can be rolled right back into the bag, which is supplied with very little effort. I definitely would recommend this sleep pad!!!
I have been using this sleeping pad for several years. I have not had any issues with leaks, it has always stayed inflated!
Perfect for a cheap backpacking side sleeper. Thick to keep my fat butt and wide shoulders off the ground while on my side. Not very wide, so my wide shoulders and arms fall off the side while on my back, but most sleeping pads are like that. The curve in this helps keep you on it if you move around. I have slept on dozens of pads, the weight and thickness is awesome and hard to find at this price point. Perfect for backpacking, weight and packed size ok. If just camping and you don't care about weight, there are better much heavier and warmer options. Haven't had this for too long, so I'm not sure about the long term durability, materials seem quality enough.
5 stars taking the price into consideration. I like it enough that if there was a wide insulated version, I’d buy it in a heartbeat.
This pad provides a big upgrade from standard backpacking pads when it comes to getting good sleep on the trail. It's worth carrying a little extra weight and some huffing and puffing to inflate for the comfort it provides. After 5 nights in the woods with this thing, my waking up with back pain in the middle of the night appears to be a thing of the past!
